| 概要 | The average of a 5-year survival rate in all cancers is about 60% in Japan. On the other hand, a 5-year survival rate in esophageal cancer (EC) is 40%, indicating that EC has poor prognosis among all cancers. Our laboratory has reported that the elevated expression of FGFR3 IIIc in EC patients is a cause of the progression of malignant EC. In this study, clinical significance of the increased expression of FGFR3IIIc was examined by analyzing the correlation between FGFR3IIIc expression levels and clinical information of the EC patients.
