概要 This workshop aimed to persuade teachers who do not consider themselves to be "musical" to include music in language teaching lessons. The presenter explained how music is processed through the brain and the body (embodied cognition) and that it communicates directly with and arouses emotions which are essential to learning. A variety of musical activities were introduced to start a lesson, to provide a mental break between activities, to introduce and review vocabulary, for inspiring creative writing or speaking activities, and to provide a memorable ending to a lesson.
