| 概要 | Many parents of bilingual children send their children to local schools. This allows the children to make neighborhood friends and and usually leads to Japanese literacy and the ability to function in Japanese society. This decision, however, often means that the non-Japanese parent will have limited opportunities to provide a linguistic, educational, and cultural counterweight to everyday Japanese school life. The four parent panelists a variety of innovative responses to the contradictions inherent in this situation. |
