概要 | Bullying causes long-term psychological damage long after the bullying has stopped. It does not build character. Instead, it teaches that intolerance is acceptable and that the vulnerable can be oppressed. This presentation covered topics such as the increase in foreign and bicultural children in Japan in recent years, the difficulty of obtaining data from schools, and differences in attitudes towards dealing with bullying in Japan and Western countries. The presenter discussed two approaches to dealing with racial bullying: the proactive parent approach and the proactive Japanese societal approach. |
