概要 Amanda Gillis-Furutaka and Curtis Kelly examine how the brain uses embodied simulation to make meaning of sensory input and language. Our senses are bombarded with gigabytes of mechanical and electromagnetic energy that our brains have to sort out into sources, entities, and processes. To work out what things are, we match the sensory input to models that we already have in our heads, models laid down through previous encounters and experiences. These mental models exist as neural representations in one of the most amazing encyclopedias you could imagine: our brain.
