概要 Impacts of mass deposition due to CO2 condensation on zonal mean circulation are examined by a Martian general circulation model (MGCM). It is shown that the atmospheric mass change in the polar region causes a vertically uniform increase in zonal wind, and an increase in northward wind concentrated near the surface at high latitudes. It is suggested that the enhancement of meridional wind near the surface is associated with Ekman transport in the boundary layer. It is shown that the Ekman mass transport is an important process of replenishing loss of atmospheric mass in the polar region.
