Colors emphasizes that preventing bullying involves more than identifying and stopping the bully. It is necessary to find out why a child becomes a bully or the target of a bully. The role of bystanders is also crucial in stopping bullying. Sullivan's book is more academic in approach but is very clearly laid out and full of data. It is a valuable reference work to have in any teachers' room. |
